How to Turn Off iPhone Analytics Sharing
You do not need an app for this. On iOS 27, go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements and turn off the switches you do not want. It takes under a minute.

What do I need to know?
- One screen holds most of it. Analytics & Improvements has the iPhone, iCloud and Siri switches together.
- Apple says analytics are not tied to you. Its page says personal data is not logged, is processed with privacy techniques, or is removed first.
- Analytics is not the same as tracking. Apps asking to track you across other companies' apps is a separate setting.
How do I turn off iPhone analytics?
These steps are for iOS 27. Apple's support page lists the paths for older versions too.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Privacy & Security.
- Scroll down and tap Analytics & Improvements.
- Turn off Share iPhone Analytics. If an Apple Watch is paired, it reads Share iPhone & Watch Analytics.
- Turn off Share iCloud Analytics.
- Turn off Improve Siri & Dictation if you see it.
Apple's Device Analytics & Privacy page gives the first path. Its iCloud Analytics page gives the second. The support article covers older iOS versions.
What does iPhone Analytics send?
Apple's wording: it "may include details about hardware and operating system specifications, performance statistics, and data about how you use your devices and applications."
With Location Services on, Apple says the location of the device may also be sent to analyse performance. An example it gives is where a call ended.
Can I see what has been collected?
Yes. In the same Analytics & Improvements screen, tap Analytics Data. The list is long and technical. It shows the reports stored on the phone.
How do I stop location going into analytics?
Apple gives a separate switch for this.
- Open Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.
- Tap System Services.
- Turn off iPhone Analytics.
What about apps tracking me?
That is App Tracking Transparency, available since iOS 14.5. Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Turn off Allow Apps to Request to Track and apps cannot ask. Apple explains it on its tracking support page.
Should I delete my Siri history too?
If you used Siri or Dictation, Apple says transcripts can be deleted. Go to Settings → Siri → Siri & Dictation History and tap Delete Siri & Dictation History. The steps are on Apple's Improve Siri page.
What this doesn't protect against
These switches change what Apple's analytics collect. They do not change what apps collect through their own accounts and servers. They do not encrypt your photos or hide them from someone holding your unlocked phone. Read each app's App Store privacy label for that.
Do it with Cryptile
Cryptile has no analytics, no account and no server of ours. Our privacy page says exactly what that means. Your photos are encrypted with AES-256-GCM under a key made on your device from your pattern.
Cryptile is free for up to 2 vaults, 100 photos and 10 videos. Plus adds search inside the vault and the panic pattern for $19.99 a year (7-day free trial) or $39.99 once.
